Beginning 0630 on 9 February 2026 and continuing to the start of the Walla Walla District Navigation Lock Maintenance Outage on 21 February 2026, the Little Goose navigation lock will be removed from service from 0630 to 1200 and from 1300 to 1630 daily, seven days a week.  These daily outages are necessary to allow the tainter valve replacement contractor to safely access the lock’s drain valve #1 for demolition and removal.

Vessels wishing to transit the lock between 1200 to 1300 during this outage period should coordinate with the lock operator either via VHF channel 14, or by calling 509-404-3231 a minimum of one-half hour prior to requesting a lockage.  Requests for lockages that would commence after 1230 post midday will not be supported until the daily reopening at 1630.
