| DREDGING OPERATIONS Calcasieu River Bar Channel Mile 0.0 to Mile -10.0 | |||||||||
Beginning on or about 1 February 2026 and continuing until approximately 10 April 2026, the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge NEWPORT will be working in the Calcasieu River Bar Channel between approximate Mile 0.0 and approximate Mile -10.0.
The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to passing navigation. The Dredge can be contacted on either VHF Marine Channel 13 or 16 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. |
