MOBILE HARBOR, ALABAMA Temporary Closure Rescinded; Dead-Ship Tow Underway

Notice is given to mariners that the temporary closure of Mobile Harbor navigation channel has been rescinded. However, a ‘Dead Ship’ tow operation is currently underway.


Container ship Ruby Tower lost power again and is now being towed northbound to APM terminal. Arrival at APM terminal is expected in approximately 6hrs (around mid-night). Once the Rudy Tower has been moored, normal commercial vessel traffic may resume.
