REFERENCE: Navigation Notice Notice No. 2025-052 dated October 21, 2025
McAlpine Locks and Dam (Ohio River Mile 606.8): The South (Land) Chamber at McAlpine Locks and Dam will be closed for 12 hours daily, 0600-1800 ET, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, through Sunday, February 8, 2026, to allow the Heavy Capacity Fleet (HCF) to perform repairs on an emptying culvert valve. The chamber will be open to pass traffic from 1800-0600 ET nightly. During these closures, all traffic will utilize the North (River) Chamber.
This Navigation Notice will be in addition to Notice No. 2025-052 dated October 21, 2025 concerning the Portland Canal Wall Repairs. That notice will be continuing during the additional closure of the South Chamber.
All mariners will take direction from McAlpine Lock Control Tower. |
