The downstream river wall miter gate at Mongomery Point Lock (No. 99) NM 0.5, is failing to recess due to an obstruction behind the gate. Due to this, mariners are advised that a 70-ft width restriction is in place, effective immediately. Mariners should avoid contact with the downstream river wall in the area of the miter gate recess. All vessels are to exercise caution to safely transit by the downstream river wall miter gate to prevent damaging the gate.  These locking instructions will remain in place until further notice.
