Be advised to stay clear of the bullnose section of the lower guide wall at Lock 9 as it contains unprotected concrete and the potential for exposed steel. All tows transiting the lock should avoid landing or rubbing on the exposed section which is primarily on the river side and tip of the bullnose. Mariners should be alert for and abide by instructions from the Lockmaster. Please contact the lock at (608) 874-4311 or on channel 14 for assistance.
